How to Help

Do you want to help?

There are two ways to do that:

  1. By Providing a short term solution.

  2. By Providing a long term solution.

Please let me explain.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." -
Chinese proverb

I have never believed in those donations programs.

Neither do I believe in some of those government relief programs.

I have never believed in foreign aid, as opposed to free and fair trade.

Although child support makes more sense to my over burdened brain, I highly doubt the effectiveness of food stamps. And I can go on and on but my point here is not to open a can of worms. We don't want to do that, do we?

I know this is very controversial but here is the simple truth.

Such ideas were noble.

Most of them are effective in solving short term problems while at the same time giving birth to other more serious problems. Did I just say serious problems? Yes...I belief most of those programs have the long term effect of banning the beneficiaries of such programs into a generation of beggars and introduction of class segregation through the back door.

But as I said before, this topic itself is highly controversial and therefore I'd rather leave that for a heated conversation over a friendly cup of coffee.

Oh by the way did I also mention to you that I'm a staunch believer of agreeing to disagree while maintaining respect and peace with one another? you know!

Actively seeking a way out

There is more power and more impact in assisting someone who is already actively looking for assistance!

As opposed to imposing it on someone just because you thought that they needed that kind of assistance.

I know...

I can see that I am causing more confusion here!

...Mmm...Okay, I will try this again.

Someone who is looking for assistance already knows what they want in life.

All they need is a fair playing ground and a little financial push.

And thereafter for them, the sky is the limit.

They have the will, power and determination to get out of that poverty quagmire.

All they are asking is for that small financial loan that you can be able to assist them with.

Personally, I'm already doing that, making a difference in someone's life and I'm kindly inviting you to do the same.

Not in a position to help financially? Don't worry; let's see, give me a minute, I'm trying to think! Oh I remember there is something else you can do.

You can take part in spreading the word by simply doing what others are doing here.
