Waiting around for the government to solve our problems
by: Anonymous

Should we wait for the government to solve our problems ?? A BIG NO ! Because firstly, we should work and act like a nation, we must try to understand the feeling and the problems of our people, our nation and we should try to solve them.

Though we must admit that the government is chosen by most of us and also they have most of the money which is needed to solve our problems, but, still we can ourselves solve the problems.

We everyday see so many people who are unable to get food or who are unable to get paid work to support their large families, who are unable to provide their kids quality education. So, it is the responsibility of the upper class business men or prosperous or elite class of the society to support each other. I 1 rich man completely support 1 poor man then the problem can be greatly minimized.

Moreover we must make sure the government also takes part in all the healthy activities of the country. the government is for the people, so they must live their lives, they must complete their reign in accordance with the will and demands of the people. It is their prime responsibility and duty to the state that they must listen to the problems of the people and solve them. It is the duty of every loyal citizen of a nation to help his fellow human beings.
As Abou Ben Adam says: ' God loves those people who love their fellow human beings and help them to the fullest'

Don't rely on the government; rely on each other
by: Lulu Lynn

I personally don't think we should wait on the government to help out it's people. They seem more concerned with their own problems, scandals, and spending money on undeserved vacations than dealing with the root of the problems we are facing. We, as citizens of this beautiful country, should concentrate on helping others instead of waiting for government help to aid them. I understand that the government cannot possibly tend to every single individual, but it’s a shame that they are more wrapped up in their bickering and political competitions than to worry about the little people that makes this country what it is. So, as citizens, I believe we should step up and do what we can to help those that the government has forgotten. We should do what is morally right and care for our neighbors because that’s what makes America so great. When disaster struck my area during the April 2011 storms, communities came together, strangers stopped to help strangers, and it was incredible to see. While the government did help a lot during that period, if it wasn’t for the civilians offering to volunteer their own time, it would have taken most of us longer than it did to clean up the mess left by the tornadoes.
I do not imply that our government is horrible, but it seems that they are more self centered lately. And we shouldn’t have to wait for their help. We, the people, are strong together as a group and can overcome any obstacle that comes our way while the government argues over this and that. We, as citizens, are able and capable of helping our fellow citizens in need if we just offer it. If we wait for government, we may be waiting for a good while before they take action unless it benefits those in office.

Act! Dont wait on goverment help!
by: Eol

Are you one of the people that are waiting on government help? If so LOL or ROFLMAO (to quote my son). Seriously though, even in the best of time our government is slow to act because very few politicians care you and your woes. It is just a job for them or perhaps a means to satiate their desire for power and/or feelings of importance. However, even if our government was miraculously filled with decent politicians overnight they still could do little to fix all our woes.
The current problems of this country can mainly be attributed to 2 reasons. The first reason is as medical technology and research have advanced, people are living longer i.e. they have a longer life expectancy than they did in FDR's era. This longer life expectancy is putting a huge burden on the budget of state and national government alike. Also since we have been in economic decline for several years now, the increased unemployment rate is further adding to the strain that the government is currently under.
The second and most devastating reason so many people are waiting on government help is that our society is the most wasteful and unwilling to give up things that we are accustomed to in human history. Our society makes locust look like good will ambassadors. The great majority of people want to continue abusing the environment, squandering natural resources and maintain their relative luxurious life-style. So many people blame the government, which is fairly dysfunctional in its own right, and they complain about waiting for government help. Newsflash folks, it is not getting any better until Americans are willing to make some sacrifices. If Americans choose to play the ostrich with their head in the sand then America will continue to deteriorate just as countless other nations and civilizations have throughout human history.
Don’t stand around and wait on government help. Make a plan of action today by writing down a few things that you can do to help. This problem is not fixing itself and the government has no magic bullet to make it go away.

Don't Depend on our Untrustworthy Government
by: Supermom7

In modern times it is a big mistake to expect any government help especially given the severe economical problems of our Country and all of the political scandals advertised through the media. It is highly immoral and unethical that congressman are paid half a million dollars or more annual income and given bonuses and extras with our tax dollars while the tax payer is given the shaft in income and unable to provide for their own basic needs or their families needs. It’s a reflection of the lack of integrity within our government. With Millions of people having lost their homes, jobs and financial security over the past couple of years it’s no wonder there are so many volatile protestors and the crime rate has increased. In addition, the numerous reported scandals committed individuals serving in congress is baffling. It is misunderstood how so many politicians can get away with dishonestly using tax dollars for their own personal gain and to support their lavish lifestyles while budget cuts are made to education and numerous government programs that assist families, children and the elderly. Our children's education is compromised and many families are now expected to survive on little income and meager shelter accommodation. It is astonishing how the federal extension for unemployment which was the primary income for some families struggling with recent layoffs was discontinued without much advanced warning just a few short weeks ago. Further, Many government employees have either been laid off, on furlough or experienced drastic cuts in benefits and wages. In addition, many colleges and universities are turning students away due to lack of funding to pay for courses. Also, many of those with college degrees are struggling to find employment and are being forced to accept minimum wage jobs as a means of survival. Government assistance programs such as food stamps, cash aid and Social Security have also faced drastic budget cuts which make it very difficult for low income families, the disabled and senior citizens to manage. Unfortunately nowadays you cannot expect any help from the government and have to look outside the box to find a way to survive and provide for your family despite the corrupt and bankrupt government system.

Don't wait its already late
by: Nithi

Before waiting for government's help we should understand that we the people are part of it. Government is nothing but people's representatives. So if we want a change to occur or something to happen it should start from us.
Nowadays people started complaining government for poor roads, unemployment etc., but its better to make our own initiative to get rid of our problems. Of course unemployment is a big threat to any society but we have to be creative and find new jobs. One of my friend completed his degree and was waiting for government help to get him a good job. He didn't get any job for an year. He is good in his studies and he become a trainer. He helps school children in their studies and he started earning out of it. He is the founder of his new job and he is happy with his earnings.
I have another friend she is a dancer and she started teaching to her neighbor kids in the evenings. she didn't invest anything for her job. Dance is her passion and she is enjoying her work and earning out of it. So find your own job and be happy doing it. Its better to be late than never.

Take the oath not to tamper
by: P.Nandhini Devi

I agree that, we can no longer depend on the government for solving our problems. Till now we were trusting the government a lot and we don get any change out of it. By analyzing we find that the government is marked by unjust severity. People lose their sense of spirit and get down day by day because of the new protocols implemented by the government. Nowadays, our government carp people based on priority and not with the principal of choosing people who are capable. Politicians play an important role in every individuals life, and there is no dole for an indomitable nerd to control us. Lets get out of others control and groove on the freedom. Any country works only to improve their financial statistics, but show a low percentage of good-will when it comes to people. People get relented to the indebtedness, and finally, when there is no other way to survive, they afford themselves to the government. We know that, all the political leaders are already swank and prosperous. A person gets elected in the election and for the work he does in a year, he gets paid $0.6 MILLION. A normal person who starves the entire day is only lucky to get $36,150 in a year. This hard worker's salary is not even one-third of what a slothful politicians payment. The government should care more about the working man and less about the politicians who are already well off. We have to struggle for our own rights. And,I believe we have an obligation to the future generations to protect certain things and our liberty is definitely one of those things. I do not want my people to ripe in a country where they have to outrage, because they are not born to a certain denomination, or even a certain aristocracy.

Hoping for the "Government Magic"
by: Adon

FIND ALTERNATE OPPORTUNITIES INSTEAD OF GOVERNMENT HELP
by: Anonymous

Yes definitely we don't have to wait for the government help because as you said government has their own problems. Earlier days people used to depend on government for so many things like getting loan from government to start small business,to buy a house, to get a government job and so many things but things changed a lot with the government now a days.

Government it self don't know how to solve their own problems then when they are going to help us for our problems. Despite helping people they are charging high rate of taxes, already increased petrol rates and also increased indirect tax percentage.

We have seen drastic changes in the world and also we are suffering with all the recessions have occurred recent years. If we wait for the government help it won't be happen and we should wait for several years to solve our own problems by the government and that to with no hope.

The State and Federal governments already have cut down Billion dollars value of welfare things, those have been implemented by the governments in the state and in the country. I suggest the people not to depend on the government for all the things to do, we have to find the alternate for those things we always depend on the government like Getting loan from private banks to start a business, to buy a house and we can work for private companies. What ever the consequences but the private companies are always active.

We have to find several ways to earn money like investing on shares, mutual funds, derivatives, commodities and for these financial instruments there is a lot of affect we are observing which result in our incomes.

We need some action, but how?
by: PaulG

I think it’s obvious that we all should stop waiting around for government help to fix society. To be honest, i think government broke society in the first place. When you take a look at all the people who hold office, they are filled with money-grabbing millionaires who only seem to apply for governor or state party membership so they can get even further hand outs from their fat cat buddies on capitol hill.

I think it’s a complete waste of time to wait for them to do something about the state of the poor in this country. Since government was formed i think all these aristocratic fat cats only want our money and our votes. Why should we give them both? They already take our healthcare and destroy every meagre hard working person’s life in this country by setting a huge tax burden on the poorest on society and then giving tax breaks to the rich. What an absolute con. It is like a Ponzi scheme where the top 1% steals our money and then redistribute it amongst them and call each other oh so clever at the end of the day.

We need some more community spirit, and by that i do not mean like the tea party people who which at the start of their campaigns had very reasonable things to say and very good arguments for why they were against certain things, but like the rest of the country, when someone sees an opportunity to make some cash in the media, the nutjobs and whackos turn out to pledge their elegance to the dollar!

For far too long they have had it all their own way. But I hope, and I sincerely mean this, there needs to be a revolution for the working class, poor people in this country to bring themselves out of the situation the fat cat government put us it. Can the government help? fat chance! I think only the poor are brave enough to free themselves, and I for one will be marching along with them!

Land of the free, home of the brave!

Time To Stop Medling in The Affairs Of Others
by: Mike Marlow

We as Americans have become so use to government help that it has all but become habit and second nature. In truth we as living thinking humans must find a way to rise above this insanity and learn to take care of ourselves and our families once again. Government help is not the answer, never has been the answer and never will be the answer. One way to break the dependency on government help is to stop these absurd overseas wars that we have no business partaking in. Other countries are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves. By spreading the "empire" as thin as we have, we have depleted resources, human capital and financial strength. It really comes down to relearning what we knew so long ago, that we are all one as humans, all connected and all able to help each other. Once we figure these simple truths out, we can then move forward in a peaceful way with dependency on endless government help. Only through the reformation of most every sector of our lives will we be able to achieve this. For example, we must at some point break the our dependency on oil. Oil is really the main big lie that has kept so many for so long in need of government help. Once the oil/war paradigm finally ends we can once again live local and live peaceful. In truth thee are many sources of alternate free clean energy that would quickly replace oil. One additional key area that must be ended is the fraudulent banking credit/debt system. As people become reliant on debt and credit they loose their independence and become addicted to one form of government help or another. Let's gat back on track America, stop letting the insane mainstream media rule your lives and tell you what you should or should not believe. Freedom requires that we all think for ourselves and make good choices. Together we can all end the need for government help. Always remember, we are all one, we are all connected and peace is the key.

Who the government cares about
by: Misa

You’re completely right. You can no longer trust the government for assistance since our government is already so far into debt that we will probably never get out of it. People who abuse the system (welfare, unemployment, housing assistance, medicaid, etc.) know how to cheat the system into giving them what they need while the rest of America, who not only can't receive the assistance they need but also pay for the assistance of other through taxes get screwed over. The government wastes money on things that are not as important as taking care of their citizens. The president makes $400,000 a year AND gets $50,000 a year for an expense budget. It’s not an easy job but think of it this way: Most politicians are already wealthy and well off. One gets elect and then for the work he does in those 4 years, he gets paid $1.8 MILLION. The man who goes to work every day of his life and does back breaking labor is lucky to make $10 dollars an hour. In 4 years, he is lucky to make $144,600 which isn't even half of the president's salary. The government should care more about the working man and less about the politicians who are already well off. They should have to clock in and out of work just like everybody else. The money left over can be used for programs that people who are less fortunate depend on and are not receiving. To top it all off, the government gives money to aid foreign countries. I'm all for helping out people in a bad situation but helping another country when we can't even help our own. Our country is falling apart under our current government, yet we can spend billions of dollars assisting countries who are in need. Apparently, the government doesn't care about starving children in our own country because children are starving in Africa. Who cares about the increasing rate of unemployment and homelessness because people in Africa need homes. Who cares about the Katrina victims who are still not back on their feet because there are people in Haiti that are dying.

Its time to make some changes
by: Louise

I think we can’t wait for government help, because we have been waiting for a long time and nothing has really changed. They have become consistently more oppressive over the last few years. Restricting reproductive rights and marriage rights and allowing religion to influence political decisions, and decision making processes. They have shown us that they want one thing, and that is even more money and more power. They want to restrict our freedoms by passing laws that contradict the rights that were given to all American citizens in the constitution. This is unacceptable to me, as an American citizen. We elect these people to be the link between the two parties, to appease both of us while still accomplishing certain goals and they have proven themselves completely incapable of this task. It is time that we stood up and as a whole, demanded change so these kinds of people can’t find their way to power in the future. The longer that we take to act the more time they will have to destroy the meaning of America. America was founded on certain principles that we are not observing. Our forefathers took great pains to draft a document that would grant people the ability to have some basic human rights and those rights are now under attack. The only people that can protect those rights are ordinary people like you and me. I believe we have an obligation to future generations to protect certain things and our liberty is definitely one of those things. I do not want my children growing up in a country where they will be persecuted because they do not belong to a certain faith, or a certain gender group, or even a certain social class.
Louise
