Friends are like Trees

Friends are like trees. There are some that are like the leaves, they are only there for certain "seasons of your life". Then there are the ones that are like the branches, they are there for you until things get to be too much for them to handle then they “break off” or leave. But the best friends to have are your roots. Those are the ones that are there for you no matter what. They support you at all times and you never have to question whether they are loyal or not.
These days and times it’s hard to tell who is a true friend and who is only there for a little while until they find trouble then they will leave you to fend for yourself.
I love to find “roots”. They push me to do my best at everything that I need to do and they always know what to say to make me feel better. This quote should be important to everyone, because no one wants a friend that’s only there for a season or two, and no one should want a friend that will leave them hanging at a time of need.
This quote is a good way to analyze the people you call friends and eliminate all the unnecessary "leaves and branches” in order to give your tree of life room to expand and grow bigger and better.
A tree has many roots, big and small that all come together and form one tree, this fact is important to me, because it represents my life a little bit. My friends and I have all moved and gone off to college but at least once a month we all come together to allow our friendship to grow.
