Black Bottom JB reunion party
After many months of preparations we managed on September 28 2007 to get 6 musicians together who had not played with each other for about 55 years.
In our high-school days in Bussum, the Netherlands we had formed our first jazz band. Now in 2007, two members came from Canada, one from France and the others still lived in the Netherlands.
Between the day of recording at the attached hall to Peter Heyen's beautiful house in Het Spieghel in Bussum we had a chance to socialize with each other and drank some darn good wine. Then a great Chinese dinner was served after which more friends and musicians arrived for an evening concert by out reunion band followed by another few hours of jamming.
These are some film clips just as a memory for all our friends and might not be of interest to many others.
Just in case, the background music was played by James P. Johnson from his 1930 recording of a suitable tune "What is this thing called love"!
